DESCRIPTION

Perform functional test and troubleshooting operations on a variety of electronics, electro-mechanical system wiring, and printed wiring boards.  Must be able to interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, test specifications.

 
Perform various tests on electrical assemblies, interconnect cabling, and PWB’s to determine compliance and performance as specified. Measurements may involve voltage, current, frequency, humidity, temperature, power, etc. May be required to assemble, wire and check performance of test fixtures and test panels. Must be thoroughly familiar with the use and application of various electric, electronic measuring instruments such as voltmeters, ammeters, digital multi meters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, hi-potting and meggering equipment, recording instruments and windows based computers. Will be required to trouble shoot and recommend corrective action when defective units show up during operational tests . Must be able to determine the effect of measuring equipment on the circuit being measured and be able to correct readings accordingly. Record findings and readings on test data sheets and refers data beyond established limits to supervision or engineering. Must have a thorough knowledge of safety precautions to follow so as to prevent injury to himself/herself and/or others who may use the equipment. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
 
6 months to 3 years minimum in electronics testing required.
 
Associates degree in Electronics is required

SKILL/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

MANDATORY

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Associates degree in Electronics
  • Minimum 6 months experience in electronics testing
  • Thoroughly familiar with the use and application of various electric, electronic measuring instruments such as voltmeters, ammeters, digital multi meters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, hi-potting and meggering equipment, recording instruments and windows based computers
  • Able to determine the effect of measuring equipment on the circuit being measured and be able to correct readings accordingly.
  • Thorough knowledge of safety precautions to follow so as to prevent injury to himself/herself and/or others who may use the equipment.
