 DESCRIPTION
*** Actual title is Logistics/ Maintenance Engineer; will be writing maintenance operating procedures for HIMARS, someone former military who has worked on HIMARS would be perfect fit if you can locate this person**** Reviews field support requirements and recommends tool and test equipment. Establishes calibration requirements for field systems/equipment including all maintenance tasks. Performs maintenance and maintainability demonstrations for customers. Reviews handbooks for technical adequacy. Assists in the development of maintenance engineering and logistics support. Plans and contributes to proposal efforts.

MANDATORY

  • Candidate must have ability to obtain a secret security clearance.

  • Strong technical background Experience with developing and delivering presentations to peers, management, and customer
  • Experience with Logistics analysis, including spares analysis
  • Knowledge of depot sustainment and/or repair processes and activities
  • Experience with reviewing system support requirements, determination and maintenance of tools and test equipment and spares tracking and management, and review of maintenance and support planning documents for technical adequacy
  • Ability to research and write technical content for maintenance technical manuals including installation, test, repair, and troubleshooting procedures
  • Ability to acquire and verify subject matter content by interviewing workers engaged in developing products, observing production methods, referring to engineering drawings, models, notes, manuals, and similar publications
  • Candidate must be willing to work overtime and travel as needed to support program requirements Possess good computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office software Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills Ability to write using clear and concise language that adheres to customer-established standards and conventions
  • Ability to quickly learn new software tools and processes Must be able to work well in a team environment Self-starter capable of performing assigned tasks with very little or no direction; interacts well with others

  • Engineering Degree Proficiency with Logistics Management Information Systems that is compliant with GEIA-STD-0007 Proficiency with SLICWave Logistics Management Information System tool Knowledge of the Army’s Two Level Maintenance Concept in accordance with AR 750-1 and conducting Supportability Analysis in accordance with AR 700-127 or equivalent Military experience
  • Experience as MLRS or HIMARS Launcher Operator and/or MLRS Maintenance Technician Proficiency with Pro-E or similar Computer Aided Drafting tools
  • Experience leading or supporting logistics maintenance and maintainability demonstration test events
  • Working knowledge and proficiency with Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML), eXtensible Markup Language (XML) and Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML)
  • Working knowledge and proficiency with Arbortext and UltraEdit or similar tools
  • Experience and proficiency as a technical writer Working knowledge of MIL-STD-40051, MIL-STD-2361, MIL-PRF-63002 for Modification Work Orders, and MIL-PRF-63033 for Demilitarization Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) development experience Graphics illustration experience and skills using graphics tools such as ISOdraw, Autotrol or similar graphics tools Proficiency with EPIC Editor, 3D Studio Max, JavaScript, Computer Based Training, and S1000D standard Working knowledge of Content Management Systems such as WindChill, S1000D Common Source Database, and Adobe Professional
  • Proficiency using Interactive Authoring and Display System (IADS) software
  • Proficiency using Electronic Maintenance System Next Generation (EMS NG) Authoring and Display System software
